Richard M. Denham

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Denham is responsible for directing Cherokee’s overall financial functions. Reporting to the President and CEO, Mr. Denham is responsible for all aspects of the corporation’s financial strategies, processes and operations. He provides oversight to his staff in the areas of taxes, contracts, government finance, planning, accounting and reporting, financial shared services and independent cost estimating.

Mr. Denham began his career with the U.S. Navy in 1969, serving in a wide variety of positions employing state-of-the-art technology. His tours of duty offered a progressive education and experience in all aspects of financial and human resources management. Mr. Denham received his B.S. degree in Computer-based Information Systems from Park College in 1997.

After completing his 28-year Navy career, Mr. Denham began his tenure with Cherokee as a Program Manager in 1997, traveling extensively overseas in support of Cherokee’s Acquisition Technology, & Logistics and Defense Threat Reduction Agency customers. His extensive operational experience culminated with his selection as Cherokee’s first Vice President for IT, Enterprise and Program Management in November 2002. Mr. Denham became Cherokee’s Chief Financial Officer in April 2004.
